Honda to Hike City, Amaze prices up to 1% from June

 This is to partially offset the input cost increase. the company said.


New Delhi: Honda Cars has decided to hike the prices of its vehicles by 1% from June.

"We continue to witness increased cost pressures. While our endeavour is to partially offset the increase, it has become imperative to pass on some of the impact. We have planned to increase prices for City and Amaze up to 1% from June which shall vary across variants," a company spokesperson told ETAuto. 

The Honda Amaze is currently priced between INR 6.99 lakh and INR 9.6 lakh while the City is priced between INR 11.55 lakh and INR 20.39 Lakh, ex-showroom. 

In the four-wheeler segment, Kia Motors India had increased its prices by around 2% -3% for its RDE. Tata motors also hiked up to 5% the price for its entire commercial vehicle portfolio, from April 1, 2023. The company cited that the price hike was as a result of the Phase 2 of BS VI. The company also refreshed its passenger vehicle range with E20-compliant engines to conform to the new emission norms. 

In January 2023,marutisuzuki hiked the prices of its vehicles across all models by about 1.1% to offset the impact of rising input costs and make provisions to update the model range to conform to the stringent RDE emission norms.

In the two-wheeler category, Hero MotoCorp also revised the prices by 2%.
